Just the daily (or...sometimes daily) rantings of ME!

I went to the hospital yesterday before work and got my blood drawn for my three-month check up.  I had all my cholesterol done again, a metabolic panel (I think), and my HA1C--my long term blood sugar.

My metabolic panel all came back okay--liver, kidney function, etc.  My cholesterol and my triglycerides are ALL where they should be now.  My triglycerides were so high we couldn't get a LDL on me, but my meds have brought ALL of them down so we can get a reading on them--NORMAL!  Yay!

Last night I went to Bunco.  My friend Wendy started this little ditty a couple of months ago.  The first Thursday of each month some other teachers and staff from my school and around the district get together to eat, drink, and get wild with bunco.  We pay $10 a month, and everyone gets a prize.  I got the second highest score last night, but I got a loser prize, which was a cactus.  I love plants.  Anyway, it's a hoot.  The women that play are hilarious, and we basically just roar all night long.  And it's a fun, easy game, too.  I was bummed last night though--it was a friend's turn to host, and she pretty much pouted all night long instead of having a good time.  She'd never played before in all the three months we'd been playing, and then she kind of acted like she had no social skills last night.  It's just sad for her...because she's so different in different situations.  When its just her and I and her aides she's hilarious and awesome, and last night, it was just kind of disappointing for her.  She could have had so much fun if she'd let herself.

My students' last day was Wednesday, and yesterday was my last day.  Today I'm working on homework and laundry, and packing to go to Minnesota.  I was going to go with Ryan in the truck tomorrow, but I might just stay home and clean (he would love that) a little and finish packing.  On Sunday I leave for Minnesota.  I have to connect in Denver.  I hate connecting flights, and I'm more than a little disappointed that Delta cut it's SLC to Fargo flight.  The fewer times I have to take off and land, the better my nerves fare during flights.  Ick.  So I get into Fargo at 11:59 pm on Sunday night.  I come back home on the 22nd.

Hopefully sometime in between we'll have some news for you.  No, I'm not pregnant (in my dreams), but it would still be something significant for Ry and myself.

Take care, JU.  I'll try to hop on in MN, but family is number one!
