So, today, a colleague and I went to the college to sign up for a wellness challenge. It cost $5, and the exercise science students at the college measured flexibility, strength, and body composition. After you did all the assessments, you got to consult with one of the students. I also get free access to the college's weight and cardio facilities for free on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Needless to say, the body composition absolutely sucked. To be expected. I've been on weight-loss stoppage since the holidays. The goals I set with the trainer today include eating more fruits and veggies, exercising 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, and losing at least 10 pounds by the time I am reassessed in April. I should have written down that I would like my after supper blood sugars to be consistently below 140. They've been better this week, because I think I've been curbing my hunger better. I'm not usually absolutely ravenous by the time I get to eat supper.
So...I've got two months to take off ten pounds. I think I can do it, but I think I need to be much more committed to exercising and making good food choices. I still CRAVE chocolate at a voracious rate. It's ridiculous, really.
Anyway....wish me luck with this...I'm going to need it! Hopefully that body composition will be a little better at the end of the venture, too.
