Hi Friends.
It's been almost two years since I've posted anything on here. I don't really care too much, and you probably don't either, and that's okay.
Nothing ever really happens in my world. I go to work, and I come home. And that's about it. We don't go anywhere. In the past two years, here is what has happened:
1. I lost my beloved grandmother in April.
2. Ryan started a new job last week that allows him to be home in the evenings. Yay.
3. I received my master's diploma last September.
4. I am still teaching 2nd grade at the same school. Tenured! Love my kidlets.
5. I have been spending time at the University of Utah doing the diabetic thing and baby thing. We are moving onto in-vitro fertilization within the next few months. I guess being a parent isn't so scary after all. Your best is all you can do.
6. We are within $500 of paying off our extra loan on our trailer. $20,000 paid off on just that since April 2009 isn't too bad. In between then and now we've also paid off all of our credit cards, several medical bills, and our motorcycle. Our mountain of debt is being whittled away slowly, but surely. Our ultimate goal: a Minnesota lake home. We will have $5000 extra dollars every month after our debt is paid off, so if we save that for two years, we'll have $120,000 for a down payment on said lake house. It'll happen.
7. We moved last December to a brand new apartment. The rent is a little more than the last apartment, but there's no mold here, and that's good. Plus, what we save on utilities makes up the difference in rent.
That's it. See how boring we are? It's okay for us to be boring for now. We're excited to have a goal to work towards.
Hope all of you and your families are well.
